How The Total Package Works
The Total Package comes in three sizes since each company is a little different. Whichever size you choose, with our Total Package our team becomes your team for all things HR and Payroll (as per scope of course). We bring with us the Paylocity Human Resources Information System (HRIS) as the technology platform to manage and run all of your new and evolving HR and Payroll functions. Unique to TPPS is that your Paylocity account remains your own should you ever outgrow TPPS or wish to bring these functions back in-house.

- We will set up a dedicated email and phone number just for your team.

To begin, we will review and fine-tune your HR & Payroll functions, to include:
- Implementation of Paylocity HRIS
- Creation of an SOP for all of your HR & Payroll functions
- Creation of a company-specific Compliance Calendar
- Review and update of your Onboarding process and documents
- Review and update of payroll practices to ensure compliance with all applicable laws
- Review and update your Employee Handbook
- Review of your benefits administration to ensure compliance with all applicable laws
Virtual HR-on-Demand Support 10 HOURS/MO
- As-needed support via phone, “Zoom” and email, to support with in-scope HR and payroll needs. Our team is available M-F (major holidays excluded) between the hours of 8 am and 5 pm Pacific. Managers and Directors can be available nights, weekends, and holidays for emergencies as they arise during off hours.
On-Boarding & Off-Boarding
- Assistance with exiting employees by preparing final checks, providing required separation documents, and updating Paylocity.
- On/off-boarding staff to include processing new hires in Paylocity.

Management and oversight of your health and retirement benefit programs to include:
- Renewal and Open Enrollment management and administration.
- Day-to-day administration of enrollment/termination and questions on benefits.
- Quarterly payroll deduction audit to ensure accurate payroll deductions.
- Monthly invoice reconciliation to ensure eligibility changes have processed.
Payroll Processing
- Regular payroll cycle processing, one-off checks, and paycheck corrections.
- Oversee all Payroll tax filings and annual W-2 processing.
- Set up/update all time off accruals; respond to questions regarding time off balances; oversee approvals as part of processing payroll; monitor compliance.
- Processing termination checks as needed.
Employee Relations
- Coaching and Corrective action support.
- Administration of employee leave of absences in accordance with Federal & State Laws.
- Processing of Unemployment Claims, Verification of Employment, References, etc.
Compliance & Strategy
- Management of company-specific Compliance Calendar to ensure nothing is missed in terms of HR & Payroll actions, notices, and best practices.
- Monthly virtual meeting/check-in with you to stay lock-stepped on all things HR & Payroll.
- Annual Handbook & policy review and redline. Presentation of new handbook to staff, and tracking of acknowledgment. Quarterly
- Proactive engagement from our team related to HR and Payroll in order to keep you compliant and up-to-date with modern practices.
- Tracking of Harassment training to ensure all staff are trained per applicable state law.
- Labor Law posters with automatic update services for each of your locations.
- E-Posters for all of your remote/home-based employees, with automatic alerts as posting changes.
- Tracking of required skills, certificates, licensure, etc. using Paylocity.
Performance Management
- Assistance with the creation of employee performance philosophy and systems (i.e. evaluations & reviews).
- Update job descriptions annually and/or as jobs change, obtain acknowledgments and save to file.
Recordkeeping
- Management of HRIS and electronic personnel files.
- Annual I9 audit and purge.
Standard Operating Procedures
- Creation and upkeep of HR and Payroll SOPs for contracted services.

Payroll Processing

- Management of electronic timeclock punches. Working with managers and employees to clear up missing punches and discrepancies.
- Bonus and one-off check management.
- Set-up/update all time off accruals; respond to questions regarding time off balances; oversee approvals as part of processing payroll; monitor compliance.

- Investigation support for employee complaints and concerns.
