Alexa

Born and raised in San Diego, CA, Alexa studied at San Diego State University where she earned her bachelor’s degree in Sociology. Throughout her academic career she has acquired a variety of skills including communication, adaptability, and perseverance, all of which motivate her to uplift the team and those she encounters daily. Her background in hospitality, retail customer service, and administration have helped to cement her immense passion for providing excellent services and a commitment to collective growth. As she embarks on her new journey as a payroll coordinator, she is excited to be a part of the multifaceted world of Human Resources and Payroll. When not at TPHR, you can find her enjoying the outdoors, baking, painting or exploring local restaurants all over Southern California.

Aminah

Aminah began her employment early in life in the Food and Beverage industry.  She soon became part of the management teams for multiple establishments.  These jobs provided excellent training for many valuable skills having to do with organization, scheduling, work ethics, employee supervision, and the goal of providing excellent service.  As life progressed, she moved into a Payroll position and found the niche she had been anticipating throughout her exploration through employment.

Ashley

Ashley was born and raised in Sacramento and earned her BS in Sports Management from Post University. After working in the sports industry for 4 years, she moved to Baltimore to transition into data analysis and human resources where she could provide a greater impact working with employees across the US, UK, and Canada. Highly motivated and results-oriented, she earned her PHR in 2021 and will join the team as a payroll coordinator where she will utilize her expertise to support our client base. Outside of work, Ashley enjoys trying new restaurants, going to concerts, and knitting and crafting for family and friends.

Beth

Beth is a dedicated HR professional focused on recruitment and onboarding. She enjoys connecting people with the right opportunities and helping companies build strong teams. She’s committed to making hiring and onboarding a positive experience for both companies and candidates. Beth enjoys exploring new places, trying out different cuisines, and spending time with her family and fur babies. In her free time, she likes reading, watching movies, or going for walks to unwind.

Carlo

Carlo is a dynamic Human Resources professional with a passion for psychology and a flair for creating vibrant workplace cultures. Armed with a bachelor’s degree in psychology, he is currently diving deeper into the fascinating world of Industrial-Organizational Psychology through his Master of Arts studies.

As a Certified Human Resource Associate (CHRA), he brings essential HR knowledge that enables him to effectively support both employees and organizations. His journey as an HR Generalist has equipped him with invaluable skills and insights, allowing him to cultivate a culture of trust, collaboration, and growth. Carlo thrives on leveraging psychological principles to boost employee engagement and foster a positive workplace atmosphere.

When he’s not busy championing HR initiatives, you can find Carlo on a culinary adventure, exploring the latest coffee shops and restaurants. He’s also a book lover and a reality show enthusiast, often juggling his time between whipping up delicious meals in the kitchen and enjoying his favorite shows.

Cassidy

Cassidy was born and raised in San Diego, and attended college at Boise State University in Boise, Idaho (Go Broncos!), where she earned her bachelor’s in general business with a Supply Chain Management minor. After graduating, she spent some time in Las Vegas working in procurement and government contracting. Upon returning to San Diego, she began working in the Human Resources and Payroll world for 3 years where she discovered that her true passion was in processing payroll. Cassidy enjoys all things music – whether it is singing, dancing or concerts. When she is not in the office, she enjoys staying in and reading a book, doing a craft, or a puzzle. She also loves staying active by hiking, taking her daughter for walks, and Pilates classes.

Cinthya

Cinthya Vado is an experienced HR professional with a focus on providing solutions. She holds a degree in banking and finance. Over the last 8 years, she has specialized in talent management, benefits, and employee relations. When she’s not guiding leaders, Cinthya can be found watching horror movies and anime or playing with her dogs.

Colleen

Colleen, a San Diego Native, is an HR Generalist with 5 years of comprehensive HR experience. She comes from the ship repair industry, where she managed all aspects of people operations and gained federal contracting experience. She is a graduate of Chico State, who received her Bachelor’s in business administration with an emphasis in HR, and then went on to obtain her MBA from National University. She has created strong roots in the field of HR with her passion for people and commitment to supporting employees and businesses. She takes pride in being a reliable resource, helping individuals navigate their employment journey, and fostering a workplace where everyone feels welcome. While also a licensed esthetician, Colleen enjoys all things health and wellness related and prioritizes customer service from her experience in the industry. If not at home with her cat, you can find her at a racetrack riding dirt bikes or spending time with family. She is an avid baker, enjoys reading, and loves all things animals.

Haley was born and raised in Sacramento, CA. She received her Bachelor of Business Administration in Human Resources Management from Boise State University (Go Broncos!). While in college, she held leadership roles with her sorority and interned for a tech firm assisting with an HRIS conversion. After graduation, Haley joined an IT staffing firm working as a Technical Recruiter – sourcing, hiring, and onboarding candidates. Haley is a natural relationship builder who enjoys partnering with employers to help achieve their business goals, while also supporting employees through their employment journey. In her spare time, Haley loves traveling, spending time with friends & family, attending sporting events and concerts.

Hannah

Hannah was born and raised in San Diego and is an alumna of SDSU. She comes to TPHR with almost 8 years experience in workforce management/EOR and prior to that she worked in child development, retail and the service industry. Hannah obtained her SHRM-CP certification in February 2024 and is thrilled to flex her skills as a Human Resources Business Partner at Total Package. She has a strong appreciation for compliance and strives to support clients and their workforce by promoting employee well-being, positive workplace culture and keeping up with industry trends. Outside of being a corporate girly, Hannah enjoys spending time with her family, attending concerts, taking Pilates classes and going out to dinner with her friends.

Joshua

Joshua was born and raised in the Philippines and brings over a decade of professional experience in customer service. With 10 years in the call center industry, he has specialized in billing support, customer care, and technical troubleshooting, consistently delivering solutions with patience and efficiency. In addition, Joshua has 2 years of experience as an administrative assistant, where he honed his organizational and multitasking abilities.

He is skilled in communication, problem-solving, time management, and teamwork, with a strong ability to adapt to fast-paced environments. Joshua is known for his attention to detail, professionalism, and commitment to providing excellent service to both customers and colleagues.

Karina, born and raised in San Diego, is an experienced HR Professional dedicated to providing effective solutions. Her background includes managing all aspects of people operations within a clinical environment. Over the past five years, she has specialized in benefits administration, talent management, compliance, and employee relations. She is passionate about supporting both employees and organizations and takes pride in being a dependable resource committed to fostering a welcoming and inclusive workplace. Outside of work, she enjoys horseback riding, off-roading with friends and family, spending time outdoors and trying out different cuisines. She is positive and energetic individual with a love for animals.

Kristina

Kristina was born and raised on the island of Oʻahu in Hawaiʻi. She earned her Master’s degree in Human Resource Management from the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa. With nearly a decade of HR leadership experience, Kristina began her HR career at a Professional Employer Organization (PEO) in Hawaiʻi before transitioning into the hospitality industry. There, she supported large teams and developed a passion for people-centered leadership.

Kristina holds both the SHRM-CP and the SHRM California Employment Law Specialty Credential. She is committed to fostering positive workplace cultures, building strong partnerships, and helping organizations and employees thrive.

Outside of work, Kristina enjoys reading, traveling to new destinations, walking in nature, hosting game nights with friends, watching movies and TV shows, and spending quality time with her four nieces and nephews.

Born and raised in San Diego, California, Lucas studied at San Diego State University and earned his bachelor’s degree in psychology. During his time there, he developed a passion for industrial-organizational psychology and utilized that interest when he began his career as an HR professional in the healthcare industry. After becoming well-versed in HR processes and managing the employee lifecycle, Lucas transitioned into payroll where he applies his previous experience and strong attention to detail to support the team. In his spare time, Lucas enjoys playing and discovering new board games, rock climbing, hiking, and spending time with his friends.

Maitte

Maitte, born and raised in Guatemala, holds both a Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree in Human Resources with a focus on Organizational Psychology and Workplace Wellbeing. She brings over eight years of experience supporting executives and leading initiatives in HR, operations, and administration. Her background includes creating HR policies, supporting recruitment cycles, developing SOPs, and managing executive communications and projects at an international level. Maitte is recognized for her adaptability, discretion, and ability to streamline processes, making her a trusted partner for executives and teams.

Outside of work, Maitte enjoys exploring new places through food and travel, often seeking out unique dining experiences. In her free time, she loves watching movies and TV shows—ranging from historical dramas to light comfort series—and is also experimenting with new recipes in the kitchen, usually with her cat keeping her company.

Melissa

Melissa has been a payroll administrator for 8+ years with it spent primarily in the automotive industry before switching to HR. She received her Bachelor’s degree from UOPHX in 2015 for Criminal Justice with a focus on human services. She loves payroll because it gives her the best of both worlds – people and numbers. She enjoys the outdoors & is a nature lover at heart, with a particular fondness for plants & the sun. Her inspiration people are The Rock & Pitbull, and she enjoys going to concerts, specifically country or hip hop/R&B. She enjoys spending time with her niece & nephews, as well as her boyfriend. While she currently does not have any pets, getting a dog is in this year’s plan!

Nicole

Nicole uses her Sociology degree and aPHR certification to apply understanding, observation, and excellent communication with our clients in her role as an HR Generalist where she assists our group with all aspects of the employee lifecycle. With ten years of experience in office administration as well as several years in human resources, Nicole works to become an extension of our client’s team earning the trust of employees and business owners. As a San Diego native, Nicole works with the San Diego Humane Society to neuter/spay neighborhood cats so that they can be adopted into loving homes or released back into the community. If she isn’t busy rescuing cats, she may be found cross stitching, gardening, or practicing yoga.

Rylee

One of our resident HR Business Partners and SHRM-CP, Rylee joins our team as a Human Resources Business Partner with 6 years of experience in many HR duties including onboarding, performance management, employee relations, and staying on top of HR trends. She earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology and Cal State Northridge and a master’s degree in human resources development from Louisiana State University (Geaux Tigers!) She takes pride in providing the best customer service and being able to make HR fun and easy for customers. In her spare time she enjoys working out, watching movies, and trying to visit every national park.

HR Project Coordinator

Samantha

Samantha joins TPHR with an extensive customer service and operational background in a variety of industries including hospitality, biotechnology, higher education, and statewide governance. She has led the development and implementation of a multitude of initiatives throughout her career but finds the greatest satisfaction in witnessing the growth of her students and clients through learning and development programs. Samantha graduated from University of California, San Diego with a bachelor’s degree in Linguistics and is soon to earn her PHR certification. She considers herself a polyglot in training and is fluent in American Sign Language, and proficient in a smattering of other languages. Samantha is a true foodie at heart and you can find her at either the local hole-in-the-wall or the nearest Michelin 3-star. When not searching out new restaurants, Samantha is most likely to be curled up with a book and a cup of tea at home with either her cat or her chickens.
